Candle Care

Our candles are designed to be enjoyed slowly and with intention. Following the guidance below will help you get the best burn, scent, and longevity from your candle.

First Burn
Allow the wax to melt fully across the surface on the first burn. This helps prevent tunnelling and ensures an even burn throughout the life of the candle.

Trim the Wick
Before each use, trim the wick to approximately 5mm. This keeps the flame steady, reduces soot, and ensures a clean, even burn.

Burn Time
Do not burn your candle for longer than 3–4 hours at a time. Extinguish, allow the wax to cool, and trim the wick before relighting.

Placement
Always place your candle on a heat-resistant surface, away from draughts, open windows, or flammable materials. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Extinguishing
Gently extinguish the flame using a snuffer or by carefully dipping the wick into the melted wax, then straightening it. This helps minimise smoke and preserves the scent.

Reuse & Safety
Stop burning when approximately 10mm of wax remains. Never leave a candle unattended while lit.
